Float is a side-project by Amsterdam´s top artist Jamez, which ismore trance-orientated searching for the depth in everybodies personal flash. Jamez began his career on one of the city´s basketball courts where he, together with some friends, used to human beat box with his surroundings as a tool for rap-songs. After a while he met DOBRE, who had a small home studio. They both started jammin´, wrote several hip hop songs and started to experiment with house music. After a few sessions they created ?TRANCESETTERS? which should become famous on dutch Touché label. ("The Search"). In 1999 Jamez created the Fortress project especially for Superstition to widen his sound spectrum and musical solo activities. Nearly at the same time Float was born as a medium for
deeper shades of energetic dancemusic.
